Planes, roadways, trains and buses are expected to be packed this Thanksgiving. Officials are warning Hudson Valley residents to expect traffic and delays.

The Port Authority expects nearly 3.6 million travelers to use its airports, bridges, tunnels and PATH system from Wednesday Nov. 24- Nov. 29.

During this holiday period, more than 1.3 million passengers will fly out of Stewart International, John F. Kennedy International, Newark Liberty International and LaGuardia airports.

Travelers should allow extra time when going to the airport during the holiday period and should check with their carrier before leaving home to make sure their flight will be departing on schedule, officials say.

Approximately 3.4 million travelers are expected to use bridges and tunnels during the holiday period. No major construction projects are scheduled at the George Washington Bridge, the Holland and Lincoln tunnels and the three Staten Island bridges during the holidays.
