Warrant Wednesday: Dutchess County Woman Wanted For Promoting Prison Contrabrand

Here are this week’s outstanding warrants from the New York State Police. They ask all of us to help by spreading the word. The New York State Police post these warrants on their Facebook page and, while we have highlighted an individual here, you can see all of this week’s outstanding warrants in the video below.

New York State Police Troop K, Wappingers, are looking for 27-year-old Amanda L. Murphy for criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree, promoting prison contraband, and possession of a hypodermic instrument. According to the New York State Police, Murphy is wanted by the New York State Police, the Village of Fishkill Court, and the Town of Fishkill Court after she failed to appear for court proceedings in early 2016. In May of 2015, Murphy was arrested for possessing a controlled substance and in July of 2015 Murphy was arrested for entering Downstate Correctional Facility with a hypodermic needle containing heroin residue.
