Oh Weezer. How I've missed you.

At the best of times, Weezer was quirky and almost contemplative. They could transition from surfer garage rock to slow, indie shoegaze, to a straight alternative banger. I've missed Rivers and his often odd verbal stylings and lyrics.

It's all coming back to me in a flood when I hear "Thank God For Girls". It's almost hypnotic how he rips through the verse, throwing lines at us in rapid style, and then smacks us with the chorus.

It's not the Blue Album. It's not Pinkerton. BUT this song feels like it could be a logical evolution from those 2 albums. And I'm not afraid to say it.

I freaking love it.
