Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo has written a song for the Monkees 50th anniversary album called, 'She Makes Me Laugh'. The album, Good Times! drops on May 27th and is the first new Monkees release in 20 years. It features several new songs written by contemporary artists as well as previously unreleased material.

The Monkees 50th anniversary tour kicks off later this month in Florida. You can catch them when they perform at Town Hall in NYC on June 1st. Mickey Dolenz and Peter Tork are the only original members on tour, but Mike Nesmith did contribute vocals to three songs on the album. Oasis's Noel Gallagher and Death Cab For Cutie's Ben Gibbard also contributed songs.

Weezer will be kicking off their summer tour with Panic! At The Disco and Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness on June 10th in Texas. The tour will be rolling through our area for a couple of shows. June 30th they'll perform at Jones Beach while a few days later they perform at PNC Bank Arts Center in New Jersey.
