Weird Internet: This Doll Commercial From the 1970s Will Haunt You Forever

Children's dolls can be terrifying. Seriously, I mean, I know they've made movies about them coming to life (Child's Play is naturally the first that comes to mind), but even without them being occupied by evil spirits, some of them are just unsettling. The more they try to give them human characteristics, the worse they get. Remember those dolls that could eat and poop?

That's super unsettling to me, but it doesn't even hold a candle to how deeply and profoundly disturbing this video is. I can't even explain why; I mean, really, it's just a dumb doll and a bunch of people laughing.

But... my god is this thing weird.

The dude doing the voiceover in that commercial sounds like he's THIS close to sending all of those laughing girls and their wicked dolls to come dismember us all with a hatchet.
