Have you ever heard of Hygge? I must admit I'd never even heard the word. But now I know, and so can you. Hygge is a Danish word used to acknowledge a special feeling or moment. It usually centers on the art of coziness. It's pronounced hue-gah. I think it's something we all enjoy, so why not embrace it?

There will be a Hygge Open House at the Boardman Road Branch Library at 141 Boardman Road in Poughkeepsie from 5 - 8 pm on Saturday, Feb. 2. It's a celebration all things comfy, be it hearty soups, relaxing crafts, or good conversation. Feel free to drop in and sample delicious foods, cozy up with a good book, or enjoy the company of friends. Registration is suggested but not required. Ages 18 and older, please.

For more information about the Hygge Open House on Feb. 2, visit the facebook page or call  845-485-3445 eatension 3702. You can pre-register right here.
