Out with the old and in with the new! We say goodbye to 2016 this weekend and welcome 2017 in on Sunday. To celebrate, there's lots going on throughout the Hudson Valley for you and your family and friends to enjoy. Here's just a few ides with links to find even more events this weekend.

 

Saturday, December 31; 9:30 am -12:30 pm: New Year's at the Mid-Hudson Children's Museum. Celebrate with your kids for a New Year's Eve party geared towards them, plus you can get them in bed on time as they've already welcomed 2017! There will be music, dancing, cool activities, and hourly prizes as they countdown to noon. $10 for members, $14 for non-members.

Sunday, January 1; 1-2:30: New Year's Snowshoe at Walnut Mountain. Pick the event that bests suits you whether it be a relaxed hike along carriage roads, or an intermediate hike to take you to the summit. Walnut Mountain is a 265-acre Town park with over 14 miles of mountain bike trails built by volunteers of the Renegades Biking Club. Pre-registration is required, call Morgan Outdoors at 845-439-5507.

Saturday, December 31 at 10 pm to Sunday, January 1 at 1 am: 3rd Annual Saugerties New Year's Eve in the Village. There will be performances throughout the evening at the stage on Main Street, a DJ, and Boy Scouts handing out hot chocolate. Don't miss the midnight countdown and ball drop with the mayor and police chief. Some streets will be closed for this celebration.

Saturday, December 31; 10 am -noon: Rock the Clock New Year's Eve Bash at the Run 4 Downtown Park in Middletown. Bring the kids and join in the community celebration.
