The Gay family in Lagrangeville holds the Guinness Book of World Records title for largest residential holiday display with 601,736 holiday lights. But is their electric bill setting records as well?

It turns out the amount it costs to power the display is much less than you'd imagine.

"Most people guess in the thousands," Timothy Gay told one of our sister stations earlier this month. "Last year we spent about $400. But this year I converted the incandescent flood lights around the pond to LED. I'm estimating it'll be about $200 or so."
