Didn't know that there is a Video Game Hall of Fame? Didn't know that it is in Rochester? Now you have a reason to go check it out, they just announced the first inductee's into the Video Game Hall of Fame. Here is the line up:

  • "Pong,"
  • "Pac-Man," 
  • "Tetris,"
  • "Super Mario Brothers," 
  • "Doom" 
  • "World of Warcraft" 
The hall is at The Strong museum in Rochester, New York.  Organizers say the Hall of Famers have all significantly affected the video game industry, popular culture, and society in general.  "Pong" was praised for helping launch the video game industry, while "Pac-Man" made video games a pop culture phenomenon.  "World of Warcraft" still attracts millions of subscribers despite being launched more than ten years ago.
