Back in August, WPDH set out to find the "Funniest Person in the Hudson Valley." Countless entered, 20 made it to the semifinals and on Friday at the Laugh it up Comedy Club in Poughkeepsie, six remained, all with the one goal to be named the funniest person in the Hudson Valley.

Back in 1991 a similar contest in the Hudson Valley launched the career of Saugerties resident, Jimmy Fallon.

To enter this competition, local residents submitted a short video of their comedy act. The best entries were selected to perform in front of a live crowd at either the Laugh It Up Comedy Club in Poughkeepsie or Joker’s Comedy Club in Chester. Six comedian hopefuls, three from each semifinal showcase, advanced to the finals.

The finals were hosted by The Boris & Robyn Show’s guest comedian Rich Shultis. During the final comedy show, Boris and Robyn provided their input and helped the audience determine the winner.

After hours of chuckles, laughs and some snort out louds, the winner was announced. So who won? In the below video, Hudson Valley Post attended the finals to find out who is the "Funniest Person In The Hudson Valley."
