Why Was Janice Huff From NBC 4 in Poughkeepsie This Week?

Meteorologist Janice Huff was spotted in Poughkeepsie this week. Her visit, however, was all business.

On Thursday the Tabernacle Christian Academy was visited by the New York meteorologist, who was filming a segment for Friday's newscast. According to the school's Facebook page, the weather guru was following up on a sixth grade student who submitted her own "weather report" during the recent blizzard.

Dallas is an aspiring meteorologist, and her video received lots of attention from Huff and the rest of the News 4 NY team.

The entire Storm Chaser crew showed up at the school to talk with the students and discuss the science of weather forecasting.

Huff posted a video to her Twitter account while on her way to visit the school in the "Storm Chaser" van. She was clearly excited to meet the students and spend time talking to them about meteorology.

The segment will air on Friday during the evening news.
