The United Nations is launching World Toilet Day to raise awareness of those who don't have access to proper sanitation.

You are probably thinking, what? This isn't a joke? The event will be held this Thursday November 19, 2015. The day is to bring light to the fact that around two-point-four-billion people worldwide don't have decent sanitation services.

The goal will be to educate those who don't have access to toilets and to ensure that proper sanitation and clean water is a human right.  Most of us take it for granted that we can simply walk to the bathroom and use the toilet. We take for granted that the water is there to flush. The water (and most often soap too) is just already there waiting for us to be able to wash our hands.

World Toilet Day is a day that people will be asked to make efforts to guarantee proper hygiene for all. Here are a few ideas as to how you can help.
