WRRV Celebrates 23rd Birthday With A Free Show

WRRV is celebrating our 23rd birthday on the exact same day the WRRV Morning Grind with Brandi and Nick are celebrating their first. So we're celebrating by putting on a free acoustic show with our friends Jukebox The Ghost.

Join us on Thursday, April 5th live at Darkside Records in Poughkeepsie for the celebration. The show is free and open to the public. We'll be broadcasting live all afternoon and the performance will be at 6 PM.

Technically, our birthday is on the 3rd, we launched at 10 AM on that date in 1995. It's been a whole lot of fun entertaining the Hudson Valley ever since. Nick Kessler joined Brandy to form the WRRV Morning Grind on the exact same date last year and the rest is history.

An interesting connection to the Hudson Valley; Jukebox The Ghost worked with producer Chris Cubeta of Studio G in Brooklyn on their most recent record. Cubeta formerly worked out of Millbrook Studios and fronts Chris Cubeta and The Liars Club.

According to College Times, there are 23 things we're not supposed to be doing once we reach the ripe old age of 23. We're certainly going to miss the mild hangovers and living off Ramen noodles.
