WRRV Now Available On Amazon’s Alexa

You can tune in to WRRV over the air, on your computer and on your phones and tablets with the new mobile app. But now, you have an additional option that's very convenient, Amazon's Alexa platform. Accessible through their Echo line of devices, this makes it very easy to pull up the station with just a few vocal commands.

According to a New York Times article, Alexa is a virtual assistatant who was inspired by the computer on board the USS Enterprise on Star Trek It serves as a hub to automate all kinds of functions in your home. But just how many people are comfortable having a device like this in their home?

A study completed in May of this year predicts 130% growth in use of Alexa enabled devices and that some 25 million people will one this year. Prices begin at around $50 and go all the way up to $230.
