WRRV Running Calendar: October Hudson Valley Races

It would seem that autumn has finally hit the Hudson Valley.

We've got a window of a few weeks / few months where the weather is going to be absolutely perfect for running. We're going to have a few more mud runs in the area, but it's going to be mostly road races for the forseeable future.

Saturday, Oct 1st - Schlathaus Park, Wappingers Falls. $12 walk up fee.

Sunday, Oct 2nd - 39th Annual "Kelly Memorial" Police Chase, Thomas Bull Park, Montgomery. $25 walk up fee.

Sat & Sun, Oct 8-9th - Tough Mudder, Englishtown NJ. Starting at $209, with coupon codes available.

Sunday, Oct. 9th - Newburgh-Beacon Bridge Run. $20 walk up fee.

Sat & Sun, Oct 22-23rd - Spartan Super, Vernon NJ. Multiple costs starting at $149.

Saturday, Oct. 29th - 7th Annual UlsterCorps Zombie Escape, Rosendale NY. (You're given 2 flags, like flag football. You run through the woods on trails, try to avoid zombies, and if you finish with any flags left you earn a UlsterCorps Zombie Response Team certification card. I've done one of these before. You'd be surprised at how much the zombies can affect you. Its fun as all hell, but you can opt out if you want to.) $20 for a few days.

Thursday, Nov 24th - The Turkey Trot, Arlington High School. Thanksgiving Day, The 5 miler starts at 9:15am. Up to $20, pre-registration.
