A downpour didn't keep a crowd of over 300 people from lining up outside Newburgh Brewing Company Thursday night for WRRV Sessions featuring Coheed and Cambria.

The free performance was a chance to do some good during the holiday season. Attendees were asked to bring a canned food item or make a monetary donation for The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley. In addition, Newburgh Brewing Company donated 10 percent of its bar proceeds toward its Mo-Vember campaign.

The crowd's energy and the stripped down, acoustic performance made for an extraordinary set.

Drummer Josh Eppard took to Instagram to remark on the incredible evening.

"Last night was a special, unique, super fun, stripped down, amazing and really beautiful one. I can already tell it'll join the list of specific shows I'll never forget," Eppard wrote.

Coheed and Cambria released their eighth album The Color Before the Sun in October. Their first two singles off the album are "You've Got Spirit, Kid" and "Here to Mars."
