WRRV Sessions: The Wombats [Photos]

WRRV's monthly live music series continued last week with a terrific free performance from The Wombats. Deuce covered for Simon this month (who was off at his brother's wedding in Boston). The band took the time to sign autographs and took pictures with everyone in attendance.

We'll be announcing our band for July shortly and in case you haven't heard, Dirty Heads will be performing on August 18th. You may want to put that on your busy social calendar now.

The Wombats formed in England in 2003 in the city of Liverpool. They released several EP's and a full length album but didn't start making waves in the US until the release of This Modern Glitch in 2011. The album featured the modest hit 'Jump Into The Fog' (which you most likely heard on WRRV). The song was actually the second single from the album.

Fast forward to 2015, the band released Glitterbug featuring the singles 'Give Me A Try' and 'Greek Tragedy'. They're planning to release a new single in the very near future.
