In anticipation of their performance at Speed of Sound Festival this weekend, singer Wesley Shultz of The Lumineers joined WRRV for an interview today. It turns out they recorded their most recent album right here in the Hudson Valley.

Cleopatra entered the Billboard chart in the number one position it's first week in stores. The album was recorded locally at a studio in Rhinebeck called The Clubhouse. ProducerSimon Felice (who will also be at SOS) was at the helm over a six week session.

The Speed of Sound Festival will take place Sunday at Dutchess County Airport in Wappingers Falls. Gates open at 1pm with music starting at 1:30. The Lumineers are set to headline the show with a performance at 8pm. You can save $10 if you purchase your tickets before Sunday. And if you're taking the train, there is a free shuttle from New Hamburg.
