In this post, we take a look back at the many #SMH (shaking my head) moments of 2017. Moments that may have had you wondering, "how does this person live near me!?" Or, "what was this guy thinking!?"

In November, a 30-year-old woman from Middletown told police she was the directions on her GPS when she wound up driving her car into the Neversink River.

In July, a security guard at the Indian Point nuclear power plant allegedly placed putting his penis in a co-worker's sandwich.

Back in February, an Ulster County man is accused of drinking in his car and masturbating in the parking lot of a local business.

Also in November, one of the Hudson Valley's brightest commented on his own wanted photo on Facebook! 

A man visiting the Taco Bell on Main Street in Poughkeepsie was shocked to find a piece of paper crumpled up inside his chalupa. 

Back in June,  a Rock Hill man who was kicked out of a bar, is accused of returning to the tavern with a rifle and allegedly stated, "What are you going to do now?"

The owners of Silent Farm Bed and Breakfast in Goshen allegedly kept a 59-year-old mentally disabled man in a barn. 

In October, a woman from Brooklyn fled police on the Taconic in Dutchess County at speeds over 120 miles per hour, police say.
