You Won’t Believe How Dark the Power Rangers Can Get [VIDEO]

A famous music video director and cast made your childhood as gritty as it gets.

If you were a Power Rangers fan (and if you grew up in the 90s, there's no "if" about whether or not you were a Power Rangers fan), you're used to seeing them in goofy, over-the-top choreographed fights.

Well, that all changed with this short fan film from acclaimed music video director Joseph Kahn (who has worked with everyone from Destiny's Child to U2 to Monster Magnet to Taylor Swift to Wu-Tang) and a cast featuring tons of well known actors, many from the sci-fi realm (and James Van Der Beek, because why not?).

This is as dark, violent, and gritty as it gets. Think of those 80s movies that you'd have to wait to watch on HBO at 2am, where dudes' arms would get blown off and unreasonable amounts of blood would fly like torrents of rain.

Needless to say, it might be semi-NSFW.

If only this was a real movie.
