Another racing season is almost over. Spartan Races, Tough Mudders, Warrior Dash's, Rugged Maniacs and a ton of great small indie races. Obstacles course runners have spent tons of time and money on getting down and dirty, and getting messed up on various obstacles. And that's completely outside the time and money spent training for these runs.

One of the few places near here I haven't run is in Pennsylvania. There's a ton of differing terrain in the state, and races can vary from flat farmland to out of control ski resorts with hills from hell.

If you were looking to get one last obstacle course race under your belt this summer, or even just this month, Warrior Dash in the Poconos seems to be it. The race is mostly around the land surrounding the Pocono Raceway.

The price is $85, but there are a few coupon and promo codes floating around the internet to help cut it down a little.

So go run a race! Warrior Dash is a complete blast! My personal experience was that the Warrior Dash was a little less competitive than Spartan Races, and a bit more fun in terms of being able to complete all the obstacles. Spartans can be VERY competitive, and Tough Mudders need groups to complete some obstacles.

Go get some almost ruined running shoes out of your closet, DO NOT WEAR COTTON SOCKS, and go get muddy!
