Calling all yogis and cocktail lovers, this is for you.

I have to admit these are two of my favorite activities, doing group yoga and sipping on a delicious cocktail.

We’ve all heard of the benefits of yoga. Anyone who has done yoga or does it on a regular basis knows the true magic behind one of these Zen sessions. I’ve recently started doing yoga and have now incorporated into in my schedule every single day. I am a true believer of what the studies have claimed of how beneficial yoga can be. Experts claim that it can increase flexibility and muscle strength. Yoga can also improve the energy and circulation throughout your body. This practice is overall good for your spiritual and physical heath, happiness and vitality.

I believe that anything that has been around and practiced for over 5,000 years must work someway, somehow.

Studies have shown that sipping on our favorite alcoholic drink of choice in moderation can reduce stress (moderation, remember). Experts claim that alcohol can boost your mood and make you feel relaxed, depending on the person and how much they’ve consumed, ha-ha. We can put into perspective of how we feel when we have a rough day and treat ourselves to our favorite cocktail or class of wine, super relaxed.

Combing the two will surely send us off in a great mood.

I present to you, Yoga & a Cocktail Event at Brown Barn Farms, Sundays from 11 am to 12 pm.

Details

This yoga and cocktail event is for folks 21 and up at $15 a session.

Kelly Scotto is hosting a 60 minute yoga class for all levels. I love that this class will be outside in front of the Brown Barn, with that being said it is weather pending. The class would be held upstairs in the loft if the weather does cooperate. They ask to please bring your photo ID and arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to check in and get ready before the fun begins. Go ahead and reserve your spot online because space is limited. The price of the ticket includes your choice of wine, beer or their yoga inspired cocktail after the class.

Don’t forget, its BYOM, bring your own mat! (Better than bring your own alcohol)
