Catfish and the Bottlemen were recently forced to cancel a Hudson Valley performance because the plane they were on suffered mechanical trouble over The Dublin Sea. We caught up with Van from the band because we wanted to know how things all went down. While the situation was serious, it sounds like they handled themselves okay.

Upon taking off from the Manchester, England airport, the plane the band was on experienced some serious technical issues forcing them to turn around. Thankfully they were safe and unharmed, but unfortunately as a result, we had to cancel their free acoustic performance at Darkside Records.

Catfish kicked off a North American tour in Albany at Upstate Music Hall. It was their first show on the run. You can catch them on this string of dates or a little later in the summer as the opener on Green Day tour. Van talks about how excited he is to play stadiums in the above interview.
