Fans of 90s rock rejoice! A Multi-Grammy Award-winning band is coming to the Hudson Valley for the 2024 summer concert season. Hootie&TheBlowfish2024

The band formed in the mid-1980s and consists of Mark Bryan, Dean Felber, Darius Rucker, and Jim “Soni” Sonefeld - while they were students at the University of South Carolina. After two cassette EPs in 1991 and 1992, they released their official debut studio album Cracked Rear View in 1994. The album became a huge hit - it stayed number one on the Billboard charts for weeks, sold 10 million copies in the U.S. alone, and became the best-selling album of 1995. Even after 30 years, It is still on the list of the best-selling albums ever made.

After a decade of pursuing solo careers and projects, the band reunites once again for their first tour together since 2019. They'll perform material from their decades-long discography, as well as hits like “Hold My Hand,” “Let Her Cry” and “Only Wanna Be With You.

Collective Soul & Edwin McCain to Join Hootie & The Blowfish

Since launching a major label career in 1994, Collective Soul has charted a path that most rock bands dream of, but only few achieve. They cut through a noisy 1990s rock scene with a knack for stick-to-you-like-glue melodies, roof-shaking guitars, and a touch of Southern grit. Behind enduring singles like “Shine,” “December” and “The World I Know,” the band hit the ground running for what would not be a short-lived sprint, but a steady marathon of uncompromising – and always catchy – albumsSince launching, they’ve become one of the most reliable rock bands in America, a tried-and-true force in a world often defined by turmoil and turbulence.

From Greenville, South Carolina, Edwin McCain is going on over 30 years of hits and worldwide touring. He has been called a “street corner prophet” by the USA Today, an “aching tenor” by Slate Magazine, and a “great American romantic” by the New York Times, but Edwin is much more than those things. After a long ride on a wave created by recording two of the biggest love songs in the history of music (“I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask For More”), and producing and starring in a tv series (Flippin’ Ships on Animal Planet); Edwin slowed his road schedule to dedicate more time to his primary roles as husband to his wife and father to their three young teenagers. His hit songs, authentic spirit and surprisingly affable sense of humor keeps everyone coming back time and time again.
