Thankfully, the Hudson Valley is the home to a lot of things but most importantly, alcohol. Between the cideries, wineries and breweries, there is always something new and exciting to check out locally. My sister and I visited a few distilleries when she was home and it was such a fun experience. It was neat to learn all about how the alcohol is made vs breweries, cideries and wineries.

Let’s check out distilleries in the Hudson Valley that have outdoor seating just in time to welcome in the start of spring and the beautiful weather.

Tuthilltown Spirits Distillery, Gardiner

Known for their local whiskey, Tuthilltown has such a cool vibe to it. I heard that their Short Stack whiskey is great, it was finished in maple syrup barrels. As for their cocktails, I would love to try out their signature cocktails. Be sure to bring a blanket on your trip to Tuthilltown so that you can relax on their Great Lawn. They also have hidden walking paths to explore as well.

Denning’s Point Distillery, Beacon

Denning’s has a cool, industrial space which totally fits Beacon’s vibes. They take pride in using local grains and fruit with their spirits. I have yet to visit this hot spot but I look forward to popping in soon and trying their Viskill Vodka and Julietta drink.

Check out more about their mouth watering cocktails here.

Orange County Distillery at Brown Barn Farms, New Hampton

I visited Orange County Distillery at Brown Barn Farms with my sister a few years ago. It was super fun to sit outside and enjoy the warm weather. The owner was super welcoming and let us try a bunch of different spirits. Their cocktail bar was fun to hang out with and learn about what was made in house.

Find out more about their facility here.
