A New York native will now be playing New York's governor. Michael Imperioli is best known for his work on The Sopranos as Christopher Moltisanti, which won him an Emmy for Best Supporting Actor. Imperioli was born in Mount Vernon and graduated from Brewster High School.

Imperioli will be portraying New York governor Andrew Cuomo in the upcoming Showtime miniseries, Escape From Dannemora. The miniseries is based on the 2015 prison escape from Clinton Correctional Facility and the manhunt and investigation that followed.

The miniseries has actually been filming right here in the Hudson Valley, too. Locations like Orange County, Rockland and Thornwood have all served as the backdrop for this upcoming series. It's being directed by Ben Stiller, too - who's no stranger to the Hudson Valley himself (he films here often and owns a house in Chappaqua).

Would you want to relive this news story as a Showtime miniseries? Will you be watching?
