Army Black Knight Football Has The Town Buzzing

The 2024 season has been an impressive one for the Army Black Knight football team at West Point.

With 3 games left in the regular season, ARMY is currently sitting at #1 in the American Athletic Conference at 9-0. That record makes this years Army-Navy game even more exciting than it usually is.

While we still have a few weeks until the big game, West Point Athletics has unveiled the ARMY uniforms for the Army Navy game 2024.

ARMY Unveils 2024 ARMY NAVY Game Day Uniforms

This year the Army Black Knight jersey will commemorate the "101st Airborne's Rendezvous with Destiny at Bastogne in the Battle of the Bulge" according to the West Point Facebook page.

West Point teamed up with Nike again this year to tell the story of the 101st Airborne's Rendezvous with Destiny. The website dedicated to this years uniform explains that "Nearly 80 years ago, the Screaming Eagles lived their motto, Rendezvous with Destiny, when they raced into the town of Bastogne ins response to the Nazi offensive" that we know as the Battle of The Bulge.

The website goes on to write:

Their endurance and outright refusal to surrender sapped Nazi morale and resources and played a significant role in the failure of the Nazi’s last great offensive in the Second World War.

When Will The Army-Navy Game Air This Year?

The Army Black Knights will take on the Navy Midshipmen on Saturday, December 14th at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland. Kick off is at 3:00 pm on CBS.

The first Army Navy game was hosted at West Point back on November 29th, 1890 where the Midshipman defeated the Army Black Knights 24-0.  According to the US ARMY website American Athletic Conference, the Army and Navy have faced each other 116 times.

Of those matchups, Navy has won 60 while Army has won 49. Army won last year and are heading in with an impressive 2024 season under their belt.
