Taste-testing candy sounds like a dream, right? A local Dutchess County candy shop needs local taste testers to help them out with a popular season candy.

Quincy's Candy Shop Brings Sweet New Digs to Dutchess County

In November 2023, word started to spread that a new candy store was planning to open up in the Village of Wappingers, New York.

Amy and George of Brooklyn, New York, planned on bringing the small-town feel to life through Quincy's Candy Shop. In March of 2024, they executed the plan flawlessly opening up to huge crowds excited to try the wide array of candy flavors offered.

Ever since then, Quincy's Candy Shop has been a must-stop location on everyone's Wappingers Falls to-do list.

Every so often, Quincy's will look to the public to help them pick new candy flavors to keep in-store or year-round.

Now that October is here, Amy and George have a request featuring a candy that people have a lot to say about!

Candy Corn Testers Needed at Quincy's Candy Shop

I love a good Halloween candy debate. It's that time of year that we ask the all-important question:

What's your opinion on Candy Corn?

It's a widely debated topic. Most people have a love/hate relationship with the waxy, sugary treat. Some hate it with a passion, while others love Candy Corn with every fiber of their being.

If you're one of those Candy Corn Lovers, you should head over to Quincy's Candy Shop on Saturday, October 5th, 2024 from  11 am until 6 pm. They'll be hosting a Candy Corn taste test!

Quincy's explains that they have 4 Candy Corn flavors. Who knew there could even be 4 different flavors!? Quincy's wants the Candy Corn Taste Testers to cast their "vote to help us decide if candy corn should be available year round!"

We can't wait to hear the results!

Besides Candy Corn, Quyincy's is home to a wide variety of new candies and some throwbacks too.

During my first time at the Village of Wappingers store, I found strawberry cream savers, Big Leauge Chew, and a ton of other candies that transported me right back to the 90s.

Do you remember any of these sweet treats from your childhood?
