
Tragic Motorcycle Accident Claims Young Life in Dutchess County
A serious crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV in Dutchess County, NY, has now turned tragic, after officials confirmed the motorcyclist has died from his injuries.
Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Pawling, NY
According to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened on the morning of Monday, April 27th, 2026, at around 8:15 a.m. in the Town of Pawling, NY.
Investigators say 19-year-old Kayden Kabashi of Beekman was riding a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on Route 55 when he collided with a 2003 Honda SUV at the intersection near Route 292.
Kabashi was rushed to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital following the crash. Sadly, authorities say he later succumbed to his injuries on May 1st, 2026. The people inside the SUV were treated at the scene for what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigation Continues
At this point, the investigation remains ongoing. The Sheriff’s Office said members of its Detective Bureau, along with the Crash Investigation Unit, are continuing to work to determine exactly what led up to the collision.
