Foodies have been able to enjoy spending time at new eateries that recently opened.

The Hudson Valley Has Welcomed New Businesses In 2024

Several new businesses have opened their doors in the Hudson Valley this year. A new French restaurant, La Cigogne, opened in Narrowsburg, NY.

The Midnight Ferry Dessert Bar is now open in Newburgh, NY, serving dessert cocktails on one of the Hudson Valley's most popular waterfronts.

While Hudson Valley residents have been happy about the new businesses that have opened, others would like to see some of their favorites return to the area.

Residents Want To See These 10 Nostalgic Stores Back In The Hudson Valley

 

A poll was taken on WRRV's social media platforms asking residents, 

"Tell me the stores that you loved and should be brought back in 2024, go!"

Hudson Valley residents and Facebook users shared their opinions about what stores should make a comeback in our area with over 16 comments. There are over 10 stores that they suggest to open again in the Hudson Valley.

Hudson Valley residents shared what stores they want to see reopen in 2024 in our area.

"Delia’s, Wet Seal and Limited Too!"

I used to shop at these three stores in the Hudson Valley and would support them if they were opened.

"Bring back the whole Dutchess Mall, lol."

This Facebook user also stated that along with the Dutchess Mall, to bring back TCBY too.

"Christmas Tree Shoppe"

Christmas Tree Shoppes had something for everyone under one roof. From snacks to rugs, decorations and more, I also agree that this would be a great store to reintroduce into the Hudson Valley.

"Caldor and Woolworth"

More than one Facebook user shared that they would like Caldor to open in the Hudson Valley once again.

Hudson Valley residents would also like to see these stores reopen in our area in 2024.

"Caldor and bradlees"

Along with Caldor, Hudson Valley residents would like to see another chain store, Bradlees, to make a comeback.

"PayHalf, Debs"

Deb Shops were a store that I used to shop at. They have a wide variety of dresses for events and more. I also vote for this store to reopen in our area.

"Mandee’s"

Mandee was another store that had junior's and women's clothing that I purchased items from. I'm adding to my personal list of stores that I would like to see reopen in the Hudson Valley and this is on it.
