Some of the greatest sounds come from nature! I love listening to the birds all throughout the day and the bugs as well. The songs from cicadas, crickets and katydids are the true, summer sounds.

While these birds don’t make a lot of noises, sometimes I’ll hear them chatting with one another who can take a sip from the feeder first!

Hummingbirds know how to travel!

Hummingbird Central included helpful information about these birds. They explained that they spend their winters in Mexico or Central America which sounds ideal. It isn’t until February or early spring, that they return to the U.S. or into Canada to breed.

There are some hummingbirds that don’t find the need to migrate, especially if they live in areas such as California (makes sense).

Here's Why You'll Be Seeing More Of These Birds In New York State

This makes sense! Hummingbird Central explained that we may see a lot of hummingbirds during the summer. However, we may see more of them during the month of September due to ‘fall migration’.

Be sure to leave your hummingbird feeder refilled and keep your eye for these cuties before they make their way on vacation!
