The Hudson Valley could see more snow than earlier predictions called for, according to a probabilistic snowfall forecast released by the National Weather Service Monday afternoon.

Dutchess and Ulster counties will see 2 to 4 inches of accumulation, with the southern part of the counties and a central swath of Ulster slated to see the heavier side of those numbers. Ice accumulation may be a problem for sections of Ulster, with up to a quarter-inch predicted for some isolated pockets of the county.

Putnam County and southern and eastern Orange County will receive 3 to 4 inches of snow, while most of Orange County will see 4 to 6 inches.

Sullivan County will see 2 to 4 inches of snow.

Most of the region remains under a winter weather advisory until 10AM on Tuesday.
