I'm 34 years old and I just learned that not everyone eats Peeps fresh. Did you know about this?

Easter Sunday has passed and houses in America are fully stocked with candy. Some common candies found in Easter baskets include Cadbury Eggs, Jelly Beans, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and chocolate bunnies. Those are extremely popular seasonal candies. One rises above the rest during Easter. I'm talking about the controversial Peeps.

Peeps have been around for decades. They were originally just shaped as the yellow birds and were traditionally sold at Easter but over the years they have been offered in many shapes, sizes and colors including cotton, birthday cake and even fruit punch.

I've never understood the love for Peeps. You don't see people just eating marshmallows. It seems like marshmallow only has a purpose when it is in hot cocoa, a rice crispy treat or sandwiched between chocolate and graham crackers. I guess if you coat it in sugar and form it in the shape of a bunny or bird then it becomes better somehow.

My wife does this and I honestly don't know what to think. She opens the Peeps and lets them sit out overnight to get a crunch from it? Am I the only one that didn't know about this?
