Even though the academic year is less than a month in at this point, college application season is in full swing. If you are in the process of narrowing down your college search, or know someone who is, here's all the information you need to know about the SUNY Free Application Weeks.

Apply To SUNY For Free Through October 29th

Application season is at the forefront of many local high school seniors minds, or those looking to transfer schools, and the thought of the amount of money it costs to submit your application to multiple schools is enough to make some people break into a cold sweat, or have to make some difficult decisions about budget friendly ways to get your applications in to your list of schools.

SUNY is giving applicants the opportunity to save up to $250 with their 'Free App Weeks' where students can save some major money by applying to up to five SUNY schools with no application fees.

A snapshot on the SUNY website displays the average tuition and fees for SUNY Community Colleges at $5,699 and SUNY 4-Year In-State at $9,413 vs. Out-of-State Public 4-Year institutions at $29,150, and Private 4-Years coming in at $41,540. This clearly demonstrates how budget friendly attending a SUNY school can be for students.

Applicants can submit up to 5 SUNY applications without the usual fees associated with the application process between October 21st and November 3rd.

Typically, there is a $50 fee associated with each individual application submitted to a SUNY school, so if you were considering multiple SUNY applications, now would be the time to get your materials together to submit.

If you're a little overwhelmed with the different application types (and it is completely natural to feel that way during the college application process) there are great resources and FAQ information here.
