Much as we’ve dreaded the thought, Buffy the Vampire Slayer might return to life yet a third time. FOX bosses say they’ve frequently discussed the possibility of resurrecting Joss Whedon’s brand of vampire pop, and are just waiting for the go-ahead to make it so.

Just when you thought FX and Ryan Murphy wrung every last drop from The People v. O.J. Simpson, FOX will air another side of the story. Twelve years after FOX had the good sense to pull O.J. Simpson’s distasteful If I Did It special, The Juice will officially be loose as a Lost Confession in the coming weeks.

There’s still a great deal to sort out as Disney swallows 21st Century Fox whole, but the TV networks themselves may only get a “New” tweak. Network bosses assure that the major FOX stations will continue “business as usual” after the deal closes, while also offering updates on The Gifted, Prison Break and more.

The first X-Files revival had fans questioning the series’ role in modern times, to say nothing of the poorly-received return this past week. Star Gillian Anderson also suggested that Season 11 might be her last, and now both FOX and creator Chris Carter seem to be jumping ship without Scully at the helm.

Bryan Singer may have built the live-action X-Men franchise, but allegations against the director appear to be catching up. FX confirms that Singer’s executive producer credit has been removed from X-drama Legion, with FOX’s The Gifted looking into doing the same.

Thousands of years from now, alien archaeologists will come to one inescapable conclusion: The Simpsons dictated humanity’s every advance. The latest evidence is none other than today’s giant Disney-Fox merger, which America’s favorite family jokingly predicted in 1998.

Simpsons character Apu Nahasapeemapetilon has long-influenced stereotypes about people from India, so much so that comedian Hari Kondabolu made a full documentary about The Problem With Apu. Now, character voice Hank Azaria admits the controversy is “a lot to think about,” as well that producers have considered potential measures in response.

The Simpsons reached another milestone in its advanced age with the dismissal of 27-year composer Alf Clausen, but the series’ orchestral future has gotten even murkier. Representatives now claim the Emmy-winning Clausen will have an “ongoing role,” though his orchestra has apparently been dismissed.

The late Adam West will be heard in a number of projects to come, but perhaps no gig was so permanently affected as the former Batman star’s Family Guy role as Quahog’s mayor. Now, FOX pays tribute to our beloved “Bright Knight” with an extended reel of West’s wacky politician.

Just as NBC’s Powerless carried on the late Adam West’s inimitable presence, so too will Family Guy keep our beloved Bright Knight alive. Producers confirm West recorded at least five more episodes for the coming season, after which Quahog’s mayor may never be replaced.
