I ran the Tuxedo Ridge Spartan Sprint yesterday. A Sprint can be anywhere from 3-5 miles, and from all accounts this particular race was 4.7 miles (without taking into account certain obstacles that use distance ie: the bucket and sandbag carry)...
So, I'm still not nearly in good enough shape, but I'm doing the Tough Mudder Tri-State down in Englishtown NJ, Oct 12th.
I've done a bunch of different OCR's, from Spartan to Zombie, but never a TM. I think I'm ok for the majority of the obstacles (and I'm ok with failing on the ones I'm not)...
As you guys are probably well aware, I enjoy obstacle course racing. From the uber-fun Warrior Dash to the hyper competitive Spartan Race, I try to run as many of these damn things as I can.
HOWEVER, there's one that's just amazingly bizarre and it actually has people chasing you...
It's almost racing season in the Northeast! You may think I'm taking about a regular footrace, and I've run my fair share. But I don't mean that anymore. I've become addicted.
To mud.
To be fair, most of the mud runs these days aren't tremendously muddy, except for certain spots...
