Best known as the director of Back To The Future and Forrest Gump, Robert Zemekis is set to begin work filming a Hudson Valley based documentary starring Steve Carell.

The Golden Globes have a reputation as a kind of edgy awards ceremony. (Well, edgy by the standards of awards shows anyway.) But this year’s host, Jimmy Fallon, is about as edgy as sphere, and his monologue lacked the bite of other previous hosts like Ricky Gervais. The only really funny moment of the night came during one of the awards presentations, when Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig took the stage to give out the Golden Globes for Best Animated Feature.

Jon Stewart said goodbye to The Daily Show last night in equal parts star-studded and quiet, personal fashion as former correspondents like Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, John Oliver and Olivia Munn returned to pay their respects, while Bruce Springsteen closed out the slow with a performance — at Stewart’s request — of his 1999 song “The Land of Hopes and Dreams” and, for his fellow New Jerseyan, “Born to Run”.

Steve Carell has come a long way since his days as a correspondent on The Daily Show. Today, he's one of Hollywood's highest paid actors. It's exciting to hear he'll be playing a Hudson Valley man in a new film.
