Two Dutchess County Residents Arrested for Burglary

According to New York State Police, two Dutchess County residents have been arrested following jewelry that was reported stolen and sold in Poughkeepsie.

New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Wappinger barracks arrested 26-year-old, Kristina L. Keener, and Kevin J. Lamastro, 23, both of Hopewell Junction, in connection with a robbery that occurred in December in Wappinger.

This month, Troopers were dispatched to a Wappinger residence to investigate a reported larceny. A police investigation revealed that the jewelry the victim had reported stolen was sold in Poughkeepsie by the defendants. Police allege that Keener and Lamastro knew the victim and stole the valuables from the victim in December of 2015.

The defendants were arraigned before the Town of Wappinger Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. They are due to appear in the Town of Poughkeepsie Court and Wappinger Courts at a later date.
