Warrant Wednesday: Dutchess County Man Wanted for Robbery

Here are this week’s outstanding warrants from the New York State Police. They ask all of us to help by spreading the word. The New York State Police post these warrants on their Facebook page and, while we have highlighted an individual here, you can see all of this week’s outstanding warrants in the video below.

New York State Police Troop K, Wappinger, are looking for 34-year-old Matthew R. Blizard for robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.  According to the New York State Police, Blizard is wanted by both the NY State Police and the Town of Wappinger court following an investigation into a robbery where a blunt object was used during the incident when Blunt and another subject attempted to take merchandise from a store. Before police arrived, Blizard apparently fled the scene.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of this individual should contact the NY State Police ASAP. You should not take any police-action yourself other than to contact the NY State Police at (845)677-7300 or email Crimetip@troopers.ny.gov.
