Severe weather hit the Hudson Valley late last night, as a line of storms rolled through causing widespread damage including power outages and flooding. Officials say damage estimates in Sullivan County are at $2.8 million (with Callicoon, Delaware, and Bethel Woods being the hardest hit areas).

Other parts of the region got it even worse. Four are reported dead in Smithfield, NY, located in Madison County, after a possible tornado hit the area. Heavy damage was reported to homes, including one house that was blown off it's foundation, according to police. Meteorologists are being sent to the area to further survey the storm damage today, and are expected to file a full report.
