The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland Ohio is an amazing place to visit. I have been there and plan on going back, plus I continue to be a Rock Hall Supporter with a small donation each year. (I am what they refer to as a 'Solo Rocker' which gets you in the museum and a few other things for $50 a year).

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame just opened a new limited run exhibit with items donated directly from The Beastie Boys personal collections, which includes handwritten song lyrics and multiple pieces of what is now could be considered iconic Beastie's clothing. The Beastie Boys were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.  Michael Diamond, Adam Yauch, Adam Horovitz, better known as Mike D, MCA and Ad-Rock, joined together in 1981. The Beastie Boys are only the third rap act to been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the other two being Run–D.M.C. and Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five.

Is just this enough to warrant a trip to the Hall? You will have to decide for yourself. Maybe you are a Yankees fan? Then book your trip with the Yankees or Mets are in town to play the Cleveland Indians. Are you a foodie? Michael Symon has multiple restaurants in this town. Art fan? The Cleveland Museum of Art was completely re-done about 10 years ago and worth at least an afternoon taking it in. Don't want to drive the 6-8 hours to get there? Amtrak from Poughkeepsie will get you to the station right outside of the Rock Hall and then most locations are walking distances from the station, including hotels, baseball stadium, etc.
