Each week, we try to feature a beer that's suitable for a growler fill. I mean, sure, there's an increasing amount of bold, odd beer that's good for a novelty. I've tried far more beers than a reasonable man should simply to be able to say I've tried them. But that's not what we go for with the Beer of the Week. We want something that tastes good and can hold up for an entire growler.

This week, Bronx Rye Pale Ale is the selection. The Bronx Brewery is one that's really established a name for itself in the past 18 months or so, kind of taking the New York and Tri-State beer community by storm.

Okay, now that I've whipped myself for unironically using the term "beer community," back to the beer: There has been a lot of buzz around this beer at every beer event that I've attended over the past few months, and for good reason: it's excellent. It's got a great hop profile for IPA fans, but just enough rye spiciness to separate it from the pack. If you've never had a rye beer, this is a great one to start with, and if you're someone who just likes a delicious pale ale, give this one a shot.

And since it's half-price at Half Time, you have no excuse not to grab a growler.
