In a recent interview, Mark Hoppus has confirmed the band is moving on without founding member and vocalist Tom DeLonge.

While speaking with Das Process (podcast) he had this to say about the whole situation.

"We are right now going through what so far has been a friendly divorce with our former guitarist. Hopefully things clear up and it doesn't get all manager-y and lawyer-y and all that and we can move forward."

Problems arose earlier this year with conflicting reports as to DeLonge's status with the band. While he has never officially quit the band, it appears he won't be making a stink on his way out the door. It appears he is ready to move on and focus his efforts on his new band, Angels and Airwaves in addiotion to numerous other multi-media projects.

Blink 182 has been jamming with Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba in the meantime. Skiba has expressed interest in joining the band full time but understands there's some details to be ironed out.
