This week my future husband:

  • has unlimited funds,
  • knows that the way to any girls heart is through shiny things,
  • wishes to remain anonymous to the world.

I believe that my future husband purchased something for me yesterday at auction. He knows that I love to go to auctions, as I am always looking for something special and unique and I often find these at auction.

Yesterday he bought me a 100-carat diamond at auction in the city. He bought it by bidding on the phone with Sotheby's. The diamond is an emerald-cut, which was mined by DeBeers in Africa within the last 10 years and weighed over 200 carats before it was cut and polished mounted on a platinum ring, as "internally flawless."

According to Sotheby's, the diamond sold Tuesday is one of only six diamonds of more than 100 carats ever sold at auction. The gem, which was projected to sell between $19 million to $25 million, went to an anonymous bidder over the phone.
