Corn-on-the-cob is a summer staple at bar-b-ques. Want to change up your normal butter routine for this 4th of July? Here are 7 different ways to butter your corn that will have your guests talking about how awesome your corn is.

 

Spicy Butter (goodhousekeeping.com)
1 stick butter (no substitutions)
0.50 tsp. smoked paprika
0.13 tsp. cayenne (ground red pepper)
Directions, In medium bowl, mix butter, paprika, and cayenne until well blended. Spoon into serving bowl; cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

 

*BBQ Butter: (Foodnetwork.com)
2 tablespoons canola oil
1/2 small red onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 teaspoons Spanish paprika
1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder
1 teaspoon toasted cumin seeds
1 tablespoon ancho chili powder
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, slightly softened
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Combine all in food processors, pulse till smooth, transfer to serving dish. Chill in fridge. Remove from fridge about 10-15 mins before you serve the corn. 

 

*Herb Butter: (Foodnetwork.com)
2 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/4 cup chopped fresh herbs ( basil, chives or tarragon)
1 teaspoon kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Combine all in food processors, pulse till smooth, transfer to serving dish. Chill in fridge. Remove from fridge about 10-15 mins before you serve the corn.

 

*Cilantro Lime Butter:  (Foodnetwork.com)
2 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/4 cup chopped cilantro leaves
1 lime, zested and juiced
2 teaspoons salt
3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Put the butter in a mixing bowl and, using a rubber spatula, mix in the cilantro, lime zest, lime juice, salt and cayenne. Use immediately or refrigerate. Yield: 3/4 cup

1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
1 teaspoon lemon juice
