Dutchess County Auctioning Off Surplus Vehicles

If you want a deal on a car or truck you might want to check out the vehicles being auctioned off by Dutchess County this month.

Over 35 vehicles and equipment items are up for bid by Dutchess County. The auction of surplus vehicles and equipment includes police cars, passenger vans, pickups, dump trucks, SUVs and even a cool electric vehicle.

As of the writing of this article a used police Ford Crown Victoria had a high bid of $200 and a Ford cargo van in need of transmission work was sitting at just $80. Our favorite item of the auction, the little electric car pictured below, is currently at $400.

In addition to vehicles, the County is also auctioning off items like compressors and mowers.The online auction ends at 8:00pm on Tuesday, Sept 20. There will be a chance to preview the items in person on Sept 19 and 20 at the Dutchess County Auto Center on Salt Point Turnpike in Poughkeepsie.
