Have a spare $8 million laying around? How about buying your own town? Cal-Nev-Ari, Nevada (about 70 miles from Las Vegas) just reduced its price. After 51 years, the owner of the town, Nancy Kidwell is selling. She and her first husband 'founded' the town in 1965 and built it up from the beginning.

The new owner would have 500 acres of land, a small casino, a 10 room motel, a mile long airstrip, diner, RV park and a convenience store. The only things in the town that are not for sale are a few privately owned homes, a small community center and a volunteer fire station, that was built by the county.

Nancy Kidwell will be staying in the town after the sale, she just wants to step down as the town caretaker/owner. According to the listing agent, Fred Marik, there have been a few inquiries for the property, with potential buyers looking at the property as a clean slate for development.
