“Light Sensitive” is the next TheaterSounds Playreadings performance taking place at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Catskills. This dramatic comedy by Jim Geoghan will be presented on Saturday, May 24; curtain time is 7:30 pm and admission is free.

Once a tough cab driver from New York City’s Hell's Kitchen, Thomas Hanratty is now blind and living a life of self pity with the help of alcohol. His world is challenged by a volunteer from The Lighthouse for the Blind, Edna, a woman with a strong will and disabilities of her own. Nicola Sheara directs and performs with Marnie Andrews, Wayne Pyle and George Wolf Reily, all of whom appear courtesy of Actors Equity Association.

Now in its twelfth season, TheaterSounds Hudson Valley Playreading Series has brought more than165 professional actors and some 115 plays to its Kingston venue.
