A 2 Part Workshop:

Do more than just survive… thrive! The ancient texts were written and compiled by spiritual seekers who wanted to do more than just get by in their lifetime. They wanted to live life to the fullest, to be at ease in whatever situation might land on their doorstep, to awaken before it was too late. Lucky for us, they have left detailed instructions on how to do this in the form of Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita. In these workshop we’ll deconstruct some of the most illuminative passages from famous texts, relating them to our relationships, our society, and our inner experience as a modern day yogi or yogini. Together we thrive!

Part 1 - The Gita Demystified!
Friday Feb.10 6:30PM-8:30PM

The most widely read spiritual text in the world, the Bhagavad Gita is an intimate conversation between two dear friends in which they discuss what it means to be a yogi, how to live according to your dharma and most importantly, how to manage your mind and heart when life gets tough. We’ll break down the text with a chapter by chapter synopsis, then pick out some of the main passages and themes and apply them to our 2016 lives as modern spiritual seekers. The Gita comes alive when we explore it together!

Part 2 - Sutra Study For A Clear Mind and Heart
Saturday Feb.11 1:30AM-4:30 PM

The Yoga Sutras are the best tool in the yogi’s toolbox for moving through this life with clarity and peace of mind. Together we will unravel the secrets buried in these short aphorisms, phrases designed to be pulled apart and discussed with other yogis to help unlock their magic. We’ll go over basic sutras that are important for yoga teachers to be familiar with, chanting them in sanskrit, as well as digging in to some of the more esoteric nuggets of wisdom.
