Music Makers concert series at the Greenwood Lake Public Library presents “Academy Award-Winning Songs” featuring Singer/Pianist/Entertainer Mitch. The Library is located at 79 Waterstone Road in Greenwood Lake, New York.

Since 1934, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has given it’s nod to the best original song written for a motion picture.

Packed with music, nostalgia, and anecdotes about the singers, actors, and composers, this “Academy Awards” show presented by Singer/Pianist/Entertainer Mitch Kahn explores and celebrates the legacy of the great American songwriters from the 1930s to the 1980s.
Hear music from Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, the Gershwins, Dorothy Fields, Harry Warren, Harold Arlen, Johnny Mercer, Jimmy Van Heuson, Burt Bacharach, Hal David, Marvin Hamlisch, and Henry Mancini, to name just a few.

Registration is required for this free FAMILY program either in person or by telephone at (845) 477-8377 Ext. 101. Seating is limited; early registration highly suggested. This concert is open to the public and seating is expected to fill up quickly. Don’t delay; register today!
